Advice for Aspiring Writers

I’m a big fan of True/Slant’s Caitlin Kelly, partly because she covers interesting things you didn’t necessarily think you were interested in (sort of like how NPR works) and partly because she offers kick-ass advice for writers like me. Nothing is a better example of the latter than her latest post, “The Slush Pile is Gone: What Ambitious Writers Must Do.”
If you’re trying to break in to the freelance writing business, drop everything and read the entire post. Now. You won’t regret it.
